$1600 was probably a lil too much for a full headlight restoration, 3 color painted insides and LEDs but everybody I mean every mechanic I kno says RLs r 1 of the most difficult and pains in the ass to work on especially headlights so I kinda understand y they try to hammer wit high labor charges. @ the end of the day, I like to stand out and look different yet still look official so I came out of pocket

I really didnt have too much of a hard time taking apart my headlights so I dont know where that came in. Now wiring up all of those leds professionally I can understand what they mean. But even still that wouldnt be $1600. But like you said, thats what you had to pay to have it done right, in your own area, without having to lift a finger except to swipe the card. And yes it looks official LOL. i probably just wouldve dropped $1200 on the JDM Legend ones but then again yours are pretty damn unique.

I thought about the JDM as well cause I really like the OEM look but hate the Amber but when I saw the work done on g37s, I was sold. The real work according to them was dissasembling all the pieces inside to paint them and like you said professionally wire all the LEDs.

And being lazy definitely cost $$$ cause I do custom lighting for my YAmaha R1 every year (angel eyes, leds, strobes and painted housing) so I'm familiar with the work. Just don't have the time nor probably some of the tools

live a learn a little bit. but that job would have been extremely easy to do for around $400 or less. Not to mention LED's placed in front of HID's may not last very long since LED's worst enemy is heat. so hopefully they installed some good heatsinks on the LEDS

Lesson learned and definitely a pricey 1! lol
Good thing I usually run with led's and fogs most of the time. Only use low beams when I need more visibility for ex on highways. Im usually local though
