What are the connectors on the front bumper? Form, function, or both?
They are mandatory to connect the APR splitter to the bumper, so yes they are both form and function. Ideally I'd like to mount them stealth-ier, but I dig how it looks as is.
Beautiful RL! I was the guy in the SSM TL on LM reps you gave a head nod to at Santana Row on Friday. Took me a while to realize it was a RL and remembered I've seen your car on AZ before lol

Dude, kudos on your car and also finding my thread on here! It's always good to see other modded Acuras out and about and surprisingly, at least 80% of the people who I've spotted (or spotted me) have either found my thread and sent a PM, or have found me on IG. Come out to the Japantown Shukai show and my RL will be there!
Definitely noticed a slight smell after the install, but it really doesn't bother me...I'll let you all know how much the smell increases when the J-pipe goes on this week.
Iakonfuji, Do you have a pic of your OEM luxury mats, and more importantly a contact, where I can purchase these. I'd love to upgrade mine as well. Thanx

Kinda forgot about updating this thread since so much was happening at once, it was easier to post on Instagram (@iakonafuji). However a lot has happened since the last update:
New wheels are in the works as well. What's left on the car are all the big things...Interior, BBK, Supercharger, and some serious bodywork, but that will be last.
Peep my IG for most of my car pics but I'll leave a special shot by my buddy.
Video is nicely done. Lots of nice looking cars. I'm not really a big fan of stancing, stretched tires, etc. If it's done right, (not overly done), it can look nice. I understand why people like it and all but...
Come on. This looks like garbage. I don't care how many tens of thousands of dollars were wasted on this circus show or how rare the wheels are. Seriously, I just can't understand how anybody in their right mind would think this looks even remotely cool:
You've been talking about wheels for a solid 15 months now...
and? I've gone through 4x sets (wheels that came with the car, SSR's, Enkei's, and these MAM's) as well as all of the other modifications that have been taking place. My newest set, a custom 3-pc build by Rotiform will be done shortly as well.

I get that, about the splitter piece. But the "corner" pieces for the front and rear. Reminds me of newer style Acura/Honda "valences" that aren't full front/rear lips.
As a new member of Acurazine, I finally found someone who is building a better RL. I joined the community specifically because of Iakonafuji's posts and details on the products that he used. I have a 2010 RL that I bought 3 years ago when I though my Ridgeline was on its way out with a transmission problem. It sorted itself out and is still running well with 230k miles. My RL is a nice car with 27k miles and it is nearly perfect. It needs some tweaks to tighten up the suspension and a better exhaust for the sound and better breathing. I've been searching for info for a year and this is the first and only information that I discovered on this car for real performance mods. I have homework to do studying the post and mods that Iakonafuji made to his car. I am hopeful that the coil-overs and Mugen exhaust is still available as my first enhancements. Any advice and direction from the community will be greatly appreciated. This is a small community of MMC RL enthusiasts that I am happy to have found.
