So I renewed my xm with live traffic and weather updates. Does the weather update just show up on the screen similar to an accident alert, similar to what is shown in the icon menu? For those of you with newer navi versions is it shown differently. Reason I asked is because for the past month it has rained pretty much every week and I have not seen any such alerts on the screen? Also does traffic only shown on freeway/highways?

 

What year is your RL?

XM Weather is available to RLs as of 2009 MY. Earlier NAVI versions of the RL do not have XM Weather capability.

 

XM Nav Weather is only available on select vehicles. For the RL, that would only be the 2009. List price for the service is $9.95 per month, but there are bundles with other services.
