My HFL has been working fine. But recently, I replaced my phone and was trying to link it. But when I press the HFL talk button, I don't hear the beep so it doesn't recognize me saying "phone setup". Is there a wa to reset the system? The dealer is hour and a half away and I would like to avoid going there if it's a simple fix. Bottomline is I can't do anything because when I press the HFL button, there is no "beep" prompt. It still recognizes the phones I previously linked, but can't dial or answer through HFL.

 

I have the same problem, I just bought a used 06 tsx with navi, I don't hear the beep to set up the phone. Do I have a bad HFL module? Eveything else work just great, voice commond, navi, radio..etc

 

Try deleting the phone and re-pairing it.

Delete the phone from the car, and car from the phone.

Then re-pair

 

I think the OP is saying that there is no prompt from the HFL, so they would nt be able to delete the phone either.

 

^^Ah! Then my response is the proverbial "Never mind!"

 

My questions to OP:
If no prompt after pressing HFL, how do you know previous phone(s) still paired?
Does the MID display anything when HFL button pressed? Also, what is displayed on the NAVI screen (if NAVI turned off) when HFL pressed?
