Wow That Awesome Surround Sound

I finally got some DVD-A surround sound discs. The demo that came with the RL was right - when you hear multi channel surround sound you hear the music in a way like no other car audio system. Even when you compare it to normal CD's or XM the difference is amazing. I got:
Chicago's double grey album
Clapton/King Riding with the King
The Band/The Last Waltz
Led Zeppelin/How the West was won
and on the way, soon to come are:
K.D.Lang
The Who/Tommy
FleetwoodMac/BBC recordings
EVERYTHING ABOUT THE RL IS TOP SHELF...YOU CAN GET SPOILED REAL QUICK...REAL EASY.

I'm not sure what's better, my $10,000 home theater sound system or my RL! Yep, we're spoiled!. .

Try this one

Fragile by Yes. Roundabout hits you from behind (you'll see what I mean) Cans and Brahms will blow you away. It sounds like a real pipe organ.

I'd like to figure out a way to measure the freq response at the driver position-the sound seems much better than other cars, but I would like to have data to back up my "seat-of-the-pants" analysis.

How about Brain Salad Surgery, by Emerson, Lake & Palmer? It was originally recorded in quadraphonic 4 channel (the 70s analog version of surround sound, which immediately dates me!), and the final track is pretty amazing in the RL.

All the Steely Dan and Donald Fagen discs are worth every penny. When you hear Babylon Sisters you won't believe how good it sounds. I've heard Donald Fagen oversaw the DVD-A mixing and it shows. If you like Steely Dan or Donald Fagen, buy these discs for the sonic quality alone.
