Wood selector knob

Besides Ebay, does anyone know where I can get a wood gear select knob?

Craigslist. They are discontinued. There are a few threads here about it. I have a TL wood knob that works for me.

I got excited because one OEM Acura parts house actually took my money for the knob and said it was shipping. Unfortunately, they soon cancelled my order and admitted the part was unavailable.
Not having any luck with Craigslist and the ones on Ebay look cheap.

I'm selling my 98 RL on CL and just remembered that it has a wood select knob so I unscrews it to try out on my 06 RL. Unfortunately the threaded shaft for the 06 is much thinner. I think I may be ab to adapt it with some kind of plastic tube insert.

Thoughts?

oem leather or the aftermarket wood, by Acura? I have a brand-new Taupe leather, sitting nicely in the box my wooden one came in...

This guy claims to have one:
https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-rl-2005-2012-76/sold-my-rl-some-new-used-oem-parts-available-867914/

The TL one works too. It sits higher than the RL knob, but a quick drilling will fix that.

Can anyone confirm that the TL knob has the same thread as the RL and will screw on to the RL selector Column without issue (other than a different stop height). What years of the TL fit best?

so the part where it says it only sits higher, but you can drill it out doesnt help you answer the question about it fitting?

"Enraged" is an amusing description to say the least.

Please explain the vast differences here that would lead someone to pay $70 more.

This doesnt look like a RL 2G knob... does it?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ACURA-RL-MDX...p2047675.l2557

Are the MDX and RL knobs the same? perhaps prior to 2005?

This looks great:

I'm hoping I can get my hands on one of these, otherwise i'll have no choice but to use a TL or perhaps now an MDX one??

Sadly have to admit that I have as well, even though I really was holding out for a RL knob... I'll have to hear and see how it looks and will need to see the DIY mod to make it work...

For $50 it's worth the risk... But if an RL one comes out, I'm still gonna jump at it :-)

Although I got one already, for those who really really wanted the OEM one, which I have to say is pretty nice, there is one on ebay right now for $150

Man, the prices keep jumping up on those. Just a few months ago a member was selling one for $120 and now the one on ebay is going for $150.

3G TL, No. MDX, yes.

Although the mahogany/burlwood option is throwing me off. I think mine is a mahogany from the lighting of their picture.

for 150 you might as well go all out and get the wheel brand new. i bet the bigger wood would feel more better in your hands and better to look at.

Would this be an Audio, Bluetooth, Electronics or Navigation type knob?
