Voice Feedback

I'm not even sure I have a problem or not. Recently, while playing around with all the neat features, I got into "Set Up" screen. Clicking to the right, I got into the menu to turn "voice feedback on" and "voice feedback off". Up until that point, my RL was virtually silent as I toggled between various menus, screens, radio stations, etc. Now, I can't get the car to shut-up! Ever twist, click, push of the control comes back with a confirmation voice telling me what I have just done. UGH! Numerous times I have gone back to the set up screen and turned "voice feedback off". All to no avail. Can someone help me get my car to shut up?

How about disconnecting the battery for a little while to reset the system. Keep in mind, doing this will require you to re-enter your navi and radio codes. You can also look in the fuse box and pull the fuses for the navi and the radio to reset it if you don't want to disconnect the battery. If all else fails and nobody else can answer your question I reccomend a dealer visit.

before you do the reset make sure you are using the right command sequence.
I believe once you see the Voice Feedback screen, you first hit "Enter, then Rotate Dial to Off, then Enter again"

I have given up on half the voice commands in the car. It takes two to three times of no anwser followed by a please repeat if I am driveing at highway speeds. Hell, I get a better response from asking my wife were money went.

Just finished dinner and went out to disconect the battery. I let it sit for a few minutes and hooked everything back up. What do you know.....the voices are gone!! Hmm......maybe I was getting slightly crazy hearing them all the time.

In all seriousness, thanks, VP!

P.S. I was afraid I would have to re-set all my memories, presets, preferences, etc. once the battery was disconnect. Fortunately, after I linked my remote and entered the radio and nav codes, everything was still set as before. Gotta love this car.
