Using calling cards with HFL?

This morning I tried to make a calling card call using HFL. My phone is paid for by my company but they block international calls (wonder why ) so I have to use a c-card. The protocol is simple:

access # - wait for connection - # to dial - pound - account #

I tried to do this as follows:

- define calling card phone number in HFL phone book
- define # for family which includes their # plus pound and the account #
- call calling card number
- wait for connection
- 'send' family #

This promptly failed and it connected me to an operator It doesnt' cost me any extra so I guess it's no big deal but now I need to remember all these numbers and that's what I'd like to avoid.

Has anyone else tried to deal with this? I don't think HFL supports a 'wait' command in a dial string like more cellphones do.

I would also like to be able to program in a pause in my HFL setup strings-I call my office VM evry morning, which requires me to dial into my mailox and dial in my PW, but I have to use my cell phone and do it manually. I will fiddle around this weekend and see if I can find a way to do this.

If I am not mistaken you can insert pauses into the number you save to the HFL. I think it can handle up to 32 numbers/pauses per entry. I am not enitrely sure though.

Yes, you can insert a pause but not a 'wait'. My 815 is looking less glamorous now though. It's address book entries are very short. Can't fit my calling card numbers in there. Sigh. You'd think they'd square away the basics before they start messing with cameras and stuff.

You would think, but, that would be too easy.

I just went to the Verizon store and one of the folks there had an LG VX8100. He was nice enough to try to pair it to the RL. Worked fine. He was amazed that I got the car at such a good price. He'd been looking at the IS350 and that car is $40K without nav or other goodies.

You know, the phone may work well with the HFL, but the overall reception with the LG is pretty bad. I had one for about a week and it was flat out horrible. It is possible I had a bum unit.
