Are these compatable? I upraded from the iphone 4 to the s3 and didnt make sure the usa spec is compatable TIA!

 

well they do make a iPhone plug to micro USB conversion plug so it might work.

 

^^Would it work with the software though? Maybe you could just go through the headphone jack. I'll tell you what I did. I went on ebay and purchased a used 120GB Ipod classic and keep it in my trunk. I bought it for $100. Best investment so far for my car.

 

Well if it doesn't work I'm screwed because I only use pandora, however in thinking if I can get some sort of adapter from the s3 to USB plug on the USA spec box pandora might work, but then again that software thing

Just bought that 3 dollar option, got two so i can plug my phone into my tv. Also I didnt notice any usb type connections on the usa spec so one can only hope the av connectors work, im led to believe they will because why would usa spec put the, there? hopefully!

 

I did a little reading and it seams as if you need the audio jack for this to work.

The micro USB connector is mostly for charging.

 

Is this only a solution because your car does not have the 3.5 mm jack?

 

The jack is the output for microusb charging phones.

The question is how to get a GS3 to work on USA spec, so he would need a conversion from the 30 pin iphone to a headphone jack to get sound.

Ok so it works. The 3 dollar rca cable hooked up to the inputs on the usa spec module and the 3.5mm end plugged into the headphone jack on the S3 phone. Im sure this would work with almost any phone with headphone jack or ipod maybe. however you loose all function for using nav screen to select songs etc its all done on the phone. Also no charging supported. However It does not bother me Im just glad i can listen to music period. My 2010 Crv comes factory with USB port and when i plug my usb from S3 to it, It says unsupported and will not work, it worked fine with my Iphone 4 so ill have to dig into that later. but for $130 for the usa spec unit im still happy because there arent many cheaper options out there period unless the stock nav has rca inputs on the back of it.

 

Can't believe I forgot about this. I'm looking for solution cuz I have no pandora. I forgot I was able to make usa spec work with the rca method.
