I had a USA Spec kit installed in my '05 RL a couple of years ago and have much enjoyment listening to my older iPod. I upgraded last week to the iPhone 4, and now when I attempt to play music in my car, the song changes every 8 seconds.

Has anyone else experienced this?

 

I have the USA Spec unit in my TL, my iPhone 4 has no issues with it - in fact, I find it's MUCH better then the 3G was, it doesn't freeze at all anymore, etc.

I have the latest software on my iPhone 4.

 

Is it a constant 8 seconds or is it merely random? The answer may be changing your phone's setting. There is a "shake to to switch songs" feature on iPhones that may be enabled. I had that problem with mine changing songs at the gym.

I emailed USA Spec last night and they called me this morning. Apparently I had hit the "scan" button on my radio while my iPhone was plugged in. Fixing the problem was as easy as hitting the button again.

I'd have to admit this is an example of some of the quickest technical support I have received on an issue like this. Kudo's to the folks at USA Spec!
