Track information

Well, so far, I've purchased about two dozen DVD-Audio/DTS discs, and I don't think the track information displays on any of them.

I've made a couple of CDs with my old Dell a couple of years ago, and the track numbers do not display with them either, although I didn't really expect they would.

Somehow I've ended up with two SACD disks, and both of them display the track information. It's really, really nice to be able to access this information!

Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Concert, on Fantasy #FSA-4501-6
Eric Clapton, Slowhand, on Polydor #B0003639-36

Does it play the SACD's as SACD's? Or is it playing the CD layer?

With these two SACD's the RL plays the CD layer and displays "CD". However, the track information is available.

I have noticed the same thing. None of the DVD-A discs have any track information. You would think they would include it, since it is supposed to be an upgraded format.

If you burn your own CD's, most of the burners in the last few years should allow you to include CD text information. It is kind of nice having that available.

Has anyone put a DVD-Audio that doesn't display in the RL into their home player to see if it does have track info? I don't have a DVD-Audio player at home to check this out.

Just noticed that the 2 SACD disks I've mentioned also include album title when displaying the RL's audio screen.

I'll try it if I remember later.
