Unhappy Temperature control backlight

I just realized that my driverside temperature control backlight went out. It intermittenty went out once, but now its out?
For all you experts out there, is this a DIY, or should I take it to the dealers? Its really bugging the heck out of me

I just noticed a few days ago that my drivers side temp backlight is out... Just the temperature control and nothing else. My passenger heated seat backlight isnt functioning eigther. I figured that was from the audio installer maybe using that as an electric source for the ipod integration kit they put in... not sure... My car never goes into the shop except for scheduled maintence like once in a blue moon so i hate to schedule an appointment for a backlight being out.

Update: After tapping the temp. control with my finger lightly a couple times, it magically came back on. My theory is this is caused by my phone charger or Ionic air cleaner that i plug next to the shifter. I stopped using it and light stayed on.

I've experienced this also on my 03 Honda Pilot. The maintnance light and engine light came on for no reason. Honda couldn't explain, but I did mension plugging up a cheap phone charger. They said that may be the cause. Hope this helps

2005 RL, temp, time console lights will flicker on and off, sometimes staying on or off for different lenghts of time. I have resorted to the low tech method of trouble shooting by banging on the dash to see the results. Sometimes they will come on but not always. So banging isn't the approach, where do I check the connection? I am assuming there are different lights so I am looking at a connection. Please correct me if I am wromg.
