Anyone has a copy/torrent of '09 navi disk for RL? Since 2005 my house was not on the map; I just got out of an RDX 2009 loaner and that one had a substantially updated version.

Also, do any of the RL owners know what their firmware version is? Looks like mine has not been updated in a while v 1.10 -- and I'm sick and tired for computer lockups on complex intersections. Or XM radio telling me "loading"

Alpine is having a sale on the newest version of the navi disc (4.73), it works in your 2005.

There is an illegal iso on "teh Interweb" but it doesn't work, Alpine is apparently policing their product better. There's a thread here about it if you look around.

 

Excuse the "Noob"idity, for the whole dvd thing in my car (just bought a 06 two weeks ago and have alot to learn), is this updated dvd just a insert and go?

I looked on the acuranavi.com for the v4.73 dvd, but didnt see if this is just an install and go or if there is a procedure to follow once the dvd is installed. Im probably over thinking this, but this car is a far cry from my 98 CL.

Also, I'm sure it depends on where you are (in the country) but is it an obvious change from the 06 version and the latest? Here on the east coast of Fla, my maps are very plain and simple looking. If there is a visible diff and a simple install, Im buyin'!
