I'm driving my '06 TL about twice as much as my RL right now, and when I get into the RL the audio always sounds kinda "flat". Not "tinny" or anything, but not near as rich and full as the TL's. I've monkeyed with the RL's audio controls to no end, and I just can't get the same richness as in the TL. After I'm in the RL for awhile it gets to sounding "normal", I guess, but then I drive the TL again and realize how much better it sounds. The funny thing is that I have the TL's controls all set to the middle default position except for a little added treble.

BTW, I've found that if I crank the volume up the RL's sound starts to fill out more, so maybe its amp just needs to be driven harder than the TL's.

So I guess I'm wondering if any of you other TL owners have experienced this?

Typical BOSE vs ELS. I haven't heard the TL ELS audio but I can imagine the difference since the BOSE amp is used in the RL.

 

Mike_TX.....I agree with you. Try this test. Listen to the TL demo disc in both cars. No comparison, the ELS system has better base response and overall sounds better.
