REMOTE START in SOCAL
REMOTE START in SOCAL
I've been reading mixed reviews with a Remote Start for 06+
Acura RL's. Can it really be done? I need a real clear answer. Does anyone know of someone in Socal Region preferably in Orange County that can install? I would assume someone who has done it on a Acura RL before... Any help is appreciated...

I've had my starter for over 19 months now, and it's been fine. A friend of mine has a 2010 RL and he had a $250 remote started installed about. 6 months ago and his has been fine, also.
Would love to have this as well for those cold mornings. But my Pilot needs an 1100 timing belt and spark plugs job. UGH! If I didn't love that Pilot I wouldn't do it. I could get rims anf remote start for my RL with that. Now I have to put that, my iPod adaptor, and tinted windows on hold till later!
I could find the timing belt cheaper, but my Honda mechanic, another reason I chose the RL, is meticulous and borderline OCD like I am, and that's why I like him. Hmmm. mobile mechanic and $200 ebay parts kit for 1/2 price or Honda Expert and Honda parts?

What brand and model remote start did you go with? And did you install it yourself or brought it to a shop?
