Re-OEM CAMERA Install issue.

Hello Guys, I am in the process of purchasing the OEM backup camera for the RL from another Acura dealer online. I asked my local Acura dealer what it would cost me they said they don't install parts unless purchased from them. They want $600 for the unit i got the unit brand new with all attachments for $375. Would Best Buy be an option for this install? Does it require them to mess with any electronics in the RL?

I'd look into a local after-market installer or a custom shop.

IIRC I think someone on here did a self install. If you're adventurous, that might be another option.

I wouldn't trust a Best Buy certified technician attempt this install.

No offense to any of them, but I wouldn't trust them past a factory stereo upgrade or an amp install.

Ok, Guys thanks much for this. I guess i will have to find a Acura Dealer that will do this install in Connecticut. If any one in CT knows of a great install shop for this please let me know.

The instructions are on line. They are not that difficult for an experienced installer. Me, on the other hand, drilling into the car is traumatic.

mr. Tea im not sure if you found a dealer yet or if you installed the camera but the dealer in Manchester Connecticut is verry good about installing modifications even if you dont buyit from them.
