No dome lights or moonroof after ipod adapter install

I've been searching in the hopes of not being flamed.

After having the USA Spec unit installed in my 06 RL, my dome lights (front and rear) don't work, the moonroof is unresponsive and the trunk light doesn't come on.

I'm thinking that a fuse blew during installation (sad part about this is it was installed at the dealership, yet i caught this and they didn't).

Anyone know if there is a fuse that i should be targeting?

I looked at the engine compartment fuse box and the passenger side fuse box and only saw something labeled "illumi" which may be the fuse to target. But when i searched, it seems that this is for the lighting around the door handles.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I believe there is a fuse map in the manual. There is also a more detailed description in the service manual in the garage.

yea, I don't know the fuse number, but it should be on the drivers side kick panel.

If the dealer put it in why would you want to trouble shoot it yourself?

With some of the experiences I've had with hacks at shops, sometimes fixing it yourself is just easier and better for you and the car. But yes, take it back, they have to make it right. They will claim at first that it's unrelated, of course, and that you're crazy and need medication. I want to install the USA SPEC unit myself but want to know that it is safe so keep us updated. The systems in this car are so interconnected it is easy for one change to affect other systems. Hopefully it's just a fuse. I would check the fuses before taking it back as well, but then WHY did the fuse blow? This is a concern. They blow for a reason most of the time, although sometimes they just blow for no reason or are weak. Maybe they had the trunk open and doors open for a long time and then did something that just drew a little too much current. I would think the moonroof has it's own fuse though.

just a thought.... Which model USA SPEC unit did you have installed?

Pretty much, at this point i lost faith in this dealership. So i want to know what's wrong before I let them touch my car again.

They already gave me the "he didn't even touch your moonroof" nonsense. I firmly told them that it worked fine before the install, so it must have been something that the guy did.

I have the Usa Spec Pa15 Acu Xl installed.

I appreciate all of the replies, but i checked the garage and the fuse pdf doesn't really give a clear description on all of the fuses. So i am still in the dark as to where the fuse is located.

I'll check the drivers side fuse box to see if one of those is the one.

Ok, so I had time to look at the drivers side fuse box and i found the blown fuse (very happy that's all it was). The moonroof fuse was fine, but the int lighting one was the culprit.

Once i replaced it, all is well.

Thanks all for the advice!

Now I'm hoping that nothing odd happens going forward.

On a side note, loving the USA Spec, it rocks!
