New to forum with 05 RL Nav question

Just bought a 2005 RL with 9000 miles and noticed the Nav version is 1.10. What is the latest version? Is it worth upgrading ( I live in Connecticut)? What are the enhancements and where does one get the upgrade? Is it a DVD?
Thanks and I enjoy the forum so far.

Is it possible to install a back-up camera in a 2005 RL. I'm guessing I'd need the latest Nav. disk upgrade?

Search the other forums, there was just a recent discussion on this same topic of backup camera. I think the final conclusion was NO you can not install backup camera on the 05.

Do a search on backup camera or rearview camera.

You can't install the Acura backup camera but an aftermarket camera would work with a plug and play unit from TVandNav2Go or something similar.

Sorry, new to this forum. I'll use the "search" in the future.

I did talk to a guy who installs after-market stuff for an Acura dealer, he thought it was possible to get the camera to work on my '05.

If not, I'll go with dwboston's idea.

Thanks again guys!

There was a recent topic in which a 2005 owner tried to get the dealer to install an Acura reverse camera. The 2005 apparently lacks the wiring harness to attach the camera to the navi system. The dealer called Acura's tech service and the info was verified. I am sure it can be jerry-rigged, but would be a lot of work. Aftermarket will likely be your best bet.

A search will lead you to the correct thread.
