Hey Acurazine RL community,

I recently put my hands on a pretty nice 05 RL and I am interested in upgrading the screen with one of the NavTool has to offer.
My main concern is how is it going to affect the A/C controls? Will I still be able to use all controls on the dash if I change the screen?

I would do one of these ACURA RL 2005-2008 NAVIGATION VIDEO INTERFACE with BUILT-IN HD SMARTPHONE MIRRORING via HDMI or ACURA RL 2005-2008 NAVIGATION VIDEO INTERFACE with BUILT-IN HD SMARTPHONE MIRRORING via HDMI
I tried to look through other threads but most pictures are outdated.

Any feedback or picture of the actual screen in the car is welcome!

Yes you will still able to use the A/C menu however you will have to buy a switch that switching between video composite display and factory display.


Navtool customer service is garbage anyway, once they took your money its a done deal (you are on your own buddy). I bought one with no user manual included nor available to download, contact the seller (1 guy who act its a huge company) who keep make me begging for the user manual. I end up return the POS Navtool and bought Naviks unit instead, its cheaper and when I call someone from Naviks actually picked up and walk me through the proccess and yet Navtool trash talk about Naviks.

 

Bump, should have listened to you. I bought Naviks for my ISF and MDX, super happy with both. Naviks hopped on FaceTime with me when I had an issue with my F install.

I made the mistake of buying Navtool for the RL. I’m done with their trash customer service, I returning too, and I’m just going to do the Naviks unit. Did you just buy the RL HDMI interface?
