Nav Real Time Traffic does not show up

I have a 2006 RL. The Navigation Real Time Traffic stopped showing up on the screen. (This is the Green, Yellow, or Red coloring of the key expressways and roads.) I am still getting the Construction icons so I know I am getting a signal. I asked XM to resend the signal a couple times but it still does not work.

Any suggestions? How do I completely reset the Nav system to see if that might work?

I appreciate any comments

Loren

Go into Setup and reactivate the Traffic Icons. It got reset to "off".

Question - and for a 2005 RL?

I have a 2005 RL and no traffic icons. When my wife drives it (with her fob) they're there.

I went into setup (button on dash) and do not see anywhere that you can turn them on or off.

I'm running 4.64 if that makes any diff.

Check your icons. Usually Traffic Icons have been turned off.

Do it this way:

--Start the Car with your key fob
--activate the Nav, by tapping OK
--Tap the knob again while you're in the map screen, so that the "4 choice" menu superimposes over the bottom of the map.
--One of the choices is "Traffic Icons". Choose that and then ensure that "traffic" is one of the choices activated. This works immediately.
-tap "Cancel" to return to the regular screen and watch the pretty color highlighting load into the image.

Yer done.

In addition to the Traffic Icon Settings mentioned above, be sure your map view is set at the scale where NavTraffic icons appear.

Rotate the intergace dial to zoom out / in and you will see the scale appear on the map screen. It is indexed to show at what scale NavTraffic icons will display. You may have been set out of that viewable range.
