left headlight flicker but turns on with the switch

so I looked around at the other threads about light flicker and there are everything from replacing the bulb to afs module which pretty much covers the whole system
which doesn't point me to a problem with mine

mine flickers when I go over bumps
it turns off
then I flip the switch off and on and its back on until I hit bumps on the road( when I was driving on the freeway it turned off about 5 times and I turn it back on with the switch and it comes on every time

my AFS light was also on for 3 days and then turned off on its own yesterday during a long drive on the freeway

I feel like theres a loose connection somewhere but maybe someone can suggest me where would be the most common place and where I should start checking to save some time

PS: even though ive been getting all these stupid issues the car has been pretty reliable overall and a solid driver on the freeway

I hate to repeat what you've already suggested, but it sounds like a typical loose connection to me. I had a similar issue with the D2S projectors on my Camry where it would come off and on at it's own content, in similar situations to you. Turns out the ballast connection wasn't clipped on well.

I honestly feel bad for you considering how much bad luck you've been having with this car man...

if not a loose connection then you have a ballast going bad...pop the hood clean and re-attach connections

i dont think luck has anything to do with machines and or electrical components.
I've had my fair share of mechanical problems (that I caused myself)....
one of the TL guys just recently bought an '13+ S4, but now has to replace the clutch.

cars are machines. machines have moving parts. moving parts fail.
as do electrical components.

it's just what happens. and we do our best to repair or replace parts.
