anyone have any problems with the keyless entry/door locks? today when i got out of the car the doors would not lock via the sensor on the door handle. i tried the driver and passenger side with no luck. i used the remote and it locked. unlocking worked via the normal touching underneath of the handle. i went to lock it again by touching the sensor and it still would not lock. any tips? anyone else have this problem?

 

this was a known problem with 2005s - what year is yours? You should have them replaced. I beleive the problem also is likely to occur (althouhg temporary) after a car wash.

thanks for the response. this is a 2006 - only a month old!! hope it works fine when i get back in it after work. what color did you get fellow belmont-ite? i have carbon gray. honk if you see me round town...

 

I've had mine replaced twice. This last replacement works most of the time. Every now and then, it gets finicky. On a couple of occassions, a prolonged touch or using my other hand would get it to work, go figure.

Might have been me. I go to that Whole Foods a lot, but always park in the basement.
The previous issue with the door locks was an intermittent problem. You may not be out of the woods yet!
