IPOD link stopped functioning-after 3 days
Ok, this morning the Ipod link was working... get to where I want to be, 10 minutes later go back to the car, start it, the radio is still set to extension, but no sound.
I disconnect the Ipod, reconnect, and now I cant even select extension through the mode selector.
Ipod says charging (even when the ignition is off-thats strange shouldnt the ipod link be powered down when the ignition is off?) but it never reacquires the extension link.
I powered everything off for at least 30 minutes, no luck same $hit.
Any ideas anyone?

It almost sounds as if one of the cables was coming loose and finally one of the plugs became disconnected. I would say to check the connections to the musiclink and the radio if you have to although that more of a pain. If the connections are fine then maybe you just have a bad unit. I know none of this helps much but this thing is so new that I don't think anyone has had one have problems like this yet. I just installed mine myself last night and everything was smooth/easy to do and it works great so far. I'll defintely speak up if it ever has any problems though.

I would try doing a reset on your iPod. This happened to me once right after I had a service done on the car. I initially thought that they had done something to the Musiclink. I then tried the iPod in one of my other cars and it did not work in that one also. I reset the iPod by holding down the Menu and Select buttons until the Apple symbol appeared on the display and then it worked fine. This did not delete anything I had on the iPod.
This may not be the same as your problem as I was still able to select the iPod "Extension" input on the radio, I just had no sound.

Problem solved:
I removed fuse #5 from under the drivers dash, and waited 5 seconds.
I needed to input the radio and nav codes, and presto, it worked.
I guess the ipod link got confused and this was the power reset.
That means the ipod link is always powered even if the ignition is off.
Great, I can just see it leading to a battery drain and other battery issues.
Geesh, Acura, couldnt you guys have wired it so that it powers down after a while, or at the least, when the ignt power is off, it turns off like the radio does?
