iPhone or iPod Touch-Acura Music Link compatibility
Now that there are actual apps for the iPhone/iPod Touch pair, I am considering picking up at least an iPod Touch.
Has anyone tried either device with the Acura Music Link cable successfully?

Bob,
I have used an iTouch with my MusicLink cable - no probelm. I have had to have the cable replaced though due to being non-operable. Luckily the dealer had one in stock. Not sure what would have been done if none were available.

Thanks! The want to move to the iTouch is very great in me....still can't use an iPhone as there's no on-device database software yet, but I'm hopeful.
If a replacement MusicLink cable wasn't available, I'd move on to the aftermarket. Plenty of dealers still have them in stock, though. Since my initial issues almost two years ago, mine has worked out well

My iPhone 3G pairs beautifully with the RL, though.

I was wondering what the dealer would do since I was still under warranty - no MusiLink parts, then what? refund in price? iSimple actually has an iPod adapter for the TSX that will allow text images of songs/artists on the Nav screen & LCD window where XM is displayed. $149.
Hopefully one will become available for the RL soon.

Why wouldn't the TSX model work on the RL?

"Hello and thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately there is nothing available for your vehicle. We apologize for any inconvenience."
