iPhone 5: iOS 6.1 update fixes one RL problem, creates a new one.

The fix: The iOS/Bluetooth compatibility problem that prompted me to start my original thread, "RL drops my iPhone 5 incoming calls after 2 seconds," is now gone. Incoming calls are now answered from the steering wheel button as smoothly as outgoing ones.

The bust: The RL now sometimes loses its link to my iPhone 5 when I'm NOT on a call. I have to go to the phone and re-select HandsFree Link to reconnect it to the car.

I'll watch to see if there's any pattern to the dropped connections, then re-post later.

Is this happening to any of you other iPhone 5 users out there?

Is this a continuous problem or just occasional. I have not upgraded to 6.1 yet and if this is the case I probably won't quite yet.

TBD. I've only tried it once.

I have not seen this behavior since updating. (full disclosure: I'm usually only in the car for ~15 minutes at a time )

Seems like it would be easiest to have one iPhone5/RL issue thread with all of the information instead of two...

I have the same problem as Tonycd and its quite annoying. Somtines when I make a call using the steering wheel the call will automatically transfer to my iPhone. This all started when I upgraded my iPhone software to 6.1

Update: I haven't had a recurrence of the problem since.

For iPhone users depress the home button and the off button until phone turns off and then restart. This is called a hard reset. I did it and now all is well with te phone and car.

Thanks for the advice on this alleged "hard reset". Never heard of such a thing before.

I'm still having a few odd issues with my iP5 that I never had with previous iPhones. The weird thing about it is that my wife has had zero issues with her iP5 and her 07 TL.
