Ignition key cylinder replacement

Hello

Hoping for any info on replacing ignition key cylinder in ignition assembly. Would like to use original key in new ignition assembly on 05 rl. Any comments would be appreciated?

I'd imaging the dealer would be able to reprogram the old keyfob to the new ignition assembly? Definitely worth asking them about.

Thank you for responding. I have the service manual and no info on changing just key cylinder out of ignition assembly. I was hoping for a work around.

thank you for the suggestion. I had that work done. I now have multiple keys now. Ignition is no longer same as door, ski pass through and glove box. Just bummed out about it.
