Bringing this back, i got the same camera as in this thread, but sometimes when i switch to reverse the image is either upside down or reversed keft to right, what controls the image orientation? The camera or the nav tool unit? I am using the revese light for the nav tool video nput switch and camera power and ignition power for the navtool itself.

i have a 06 tech unit and would like to get the back up camera system done
my question is do i need the navtool? i think there a slot for the back up camera in the dvd machine in the trunk of my RL
I'm in So Cal as well, will you let me know how it was done?

This is exactly what I am looking for but the local shop (not Acura dealer) I was referred to said they would have to install a separate screen and couldn't use the in dash nav screen. Does anyone know a reputable supplier/installer in Los Angeles that can help me? I really need the camera shown here because my depth perception is not so good. Thankfully i haven't run over anyone or hit anything - yet! Thanks anyone that can help me.

 

Clearly that installer has not heard of navtool or Doms.
You may have better luck looking for an "authorized installer"
