I paired a Nextel Blackberry 7100i to my 2005 RL. This is a new car for me. I can recieve calls with clarity but when I palce outgoing calls the statis is so bad that no one can hear me. I was told that this model had problems with the microphone. Any help?

 

buddyrl - whoever said this model has microphone problems is mistaken. I own a 2005 RL and have absolutely no static with outgoing calls, however we all know that wireless technology is not 100% static free and on occasion will have to hang up and make the call again. Suggest you try to pair another phone to verify....

 

The HF link on the RL is considered to be excellent. Of course if the signal from the cell carrier is weak to the phone thats a problem. The BT link from the car to the phone is a good as it gets.

 

I found a work around. If I transfer the call while my handheld is dialing, the outgoing call is static free. I still cannot use the voice command form the same area.
