I just picked up my o6 RL from the body shop. They replaced both headlights due to an accident. They said I needed to take to car to the Acura dealer to see why the left headlight won't turn. When you turn the headlights on the left one kind of droops down and comes back to straight ahead. The right headlight however, will turn left and right when you first turn on the headlights and come back to straight and it will turn left/right when driving. The left headlight was only deeply scratched but had to be replaced. Does anybody know why the left headlight may not be turning?

At a stop, the right headlight turns
right when you turn the steering
wheel to the right. But the left
headlight does not turn left when

left. This prevents the left
headlight from pointing at
oncoming traffic.

This same behavior is exhibited when the car starts up and the AFS initializes. The right light will swivel right. The left light will not so that oncoming traffic will not be blinded, assuming the car is parked on the street.

The real test is to be driving more than 10 mph and making a sharp left turn, and seeing if the left light swivels with the turn. If it does not turn, then you likely have an issue. But if the AFS warning light is not on, your system is probably working.

man its so amazing to me how they think of everything. if i were designing a headlight i woud've never thought of that to help oncoming drivers
