Has anyone used...
...one of those FM Transmitters to play your iPod through your RL audio system? If so, how well (or not so well) do they work?

Works better than the factory link... used a Griffin iTrip.
Then again, saying that something works better than the factory link is sort of like saying someone has better table manners than a rabid warthog.
Seriously, it's OK but not awesome. The sound quality leaves something to be desired, and it all depends on where you live. If you're in the middle of nowhere, it works great. If you're in a major urban area (like I am, right between Philly and NYC) it's terrible, since there's no good spot on the radio dial to tune it to so you can have a clear signal.

Do not use, based on other experiences. Hardwire connection is FAR superior. I use NeoAudio which we think is the same as USASPec. Others are Dice, Blitz. FM is flakey as you drive along and keep having to change channels. That alone is worth it as you clip along the interstates.
use the search to see how others have done it, and also in the RDX section and TL section.
There is a lot of good experience

Any hardwired solution is better than FM modulation. I had issues with my Acura Musiclink, but those were resolved. The sound quality is superior to FM modulation, which I have used in other cars. Getting ready to put a USASpec in my S2000 this week for my iPod/XM.

neuronbob, when you say you had your Musiclink problems resolved, who resolved it and what advice do you have about getting it done right the first time? How much did it run? Thanks,
