Is there a way to update the bluetooth software to permit audio streaming that is available with some cars? My friend's toyota prius has this, but mine does not. I have an 06 RL. Seems like this should be updateable. Could it be something that could be updated if I buy the new navi DVD?

 

Short answer is no.

'05 - '08 RL model years do not support A2DP bluetooth profile. This profile is needed to stream bluetooth audio. Updating the Nav disc has nothing to do with the car's bluetooth system. It just simply updates the map database with new roads and POIs, etc.
