Fog Lights

I just recently bought an 05 RL with 109k and so far I love everything it has on it.

A couple of minor things I'd like to ask are:

I don't like the stock fogs, I mean I don't hate them but I just wish they were more white. Would a film be able to make it whiter or do I need to buy a new bulb?

Also, I noticed that there isn't an aux input or anything. I've researched on this forum but haven't found anything other than iPod/iPhone stuff.
Where can I get something that can get me an aux input into my car's stereo?
I don't want/need to access it through the Navi screen or anything because I'm used to changing songs on my phone and such.

For the fogs, you will need different bulbs. The size is H11. The cheapest option is LED ones off of eBay, but they should not be used if driving in fog is necessary. The best option to achieve a desired color is an HID kit. Xtreme HID is the kit I used. I can post some links tomorrow.

As for your AUX questions, you have three options and all should have AUX capability. USAspec (the iPod unit you heard about), Dice Mediabridge, and Acura MusicLink. I think the MediaBridge will best suit your needs.

Okay, I'd like to see the Xtreme HID pics. Yea fog isn't necessary haha I live in TX and we never get bad fog, I'd just like some whiter ones.

Do you know if the Dice Mediabridge is good for just plugging the cable into my phone?

These are the LED bulbs I got on eBay for $8 shipped.

And the Xtreme HID kit. I bought it used from a member here and he claimed they are 6000k. I will go to 5000k or 4300k sometime in the future.

I have the slim ballast kit, but there is plenty of room to use the regular 35W kit. The kit is plug and play, but it is most helpful to drop the bumper to install it securely. The whole process can be done in less than an hour.

Where in TX are you from?

I have been looking that also, from UK because if i order it from EU area then i dont have to pay taxes and custom fees. Problem is that Grom UK is not listing RL/Legend but i think that those what they offer are the same than in USA.

A note on the LED bulbs that I chose has to do with the heat sink in the fog assembly. The LED bulbs they gave me were too large in diameter to fit into the sink. I had to use a screwdriver to pry the sink open a bit to get those exact bulbs to fit. A smaller diameter bulb would have worked without issue.

Oh I see.

Would you know how to install one into an RL? Like would it be in the trunk like I've heard or in the head unit.
Also if it is in the trunk, how would I install it and get the aux cable to reach into my phone?

My impression from the description is that it plugs into the head unit.

Might want to ask psheu about the MediaBridge. He has a lot of experience with it. He also has the cleanest aftermarket aux audio input setup I've seen around here. One day I'm going to decide whether I want to go with the MediaBridge or the USASpec and I'm going to do my best to replicate his setup.
