Finding address not in the RL navigation. What can I do?

I have the 06 RL. It seems like I'm always going to an address that's not already in the navigation.

Is it possible to "map input" and then save in the address book? If I do this, will it give me driving directions close to my destination? I've seen dotted lines a few times.

If I could input some of these places where there is no address it would help.

Please let me know.

If you are physically at a location, you can save it. I do that all the time.

I tried it last night after posting. However, the street is not in the nav. so it's telling me "sorry, there is no address" and it cannot input.

If I purchase a a Nav DVD upgrade, is it possible to find out before ordering if a specific street is in there?

My RL is 06 and I don't want to spend $200 if the updated streets I need are not in there.

Please let me know. Thanks.

I didn't answer your question with my original post...if you know of a nearby street and click on it, the system will ask if you want to set as destination...I think it will also let you save it. I have an apartment location that is not on my disk...it's in a blank area...when I tried to save it when sitting in front of the building, the system put me in a subdivision across a bayou (no bridges!) and tried to get me to my apartment from the other side of the bayou. I had to park the car at the entrance of the apartment complex on a shown road and save that as my apartment location...of course none of the new streets for that complex are in the system. I can't answer your inquiry about what's on the newer disks...I'm due to replace my original disk on my '05. The other day I was hurtling across the Mississippi delta on what looked to be a paved farm to market, enjoying the scenery and pleased that there was no traffic and got throttled at a T intersection...the system showed the road continuing straight ahead...but what was there was a river and acres of plowed fields!

I may be able to help you discover whether the address is on the new disk. I work at an Acura dealership. Reply with the address(or PM it to me) and I'll go plug it into one of the '07's.
