its seems that when I press a-select to go back to my pre-sets seems like its not remembering it. any advice?

 

I do not understand "a-select" Are you talking about the Auto Select Feature for when you are out of your normal AM/FM listening area? Look on page 207 of the 2006 manual.

The obvious question is did you first save stations in your presets by following the procedure on page 206? You have to make sure you here the beep confirming the preset.

Are you consistently using the same key fob? AM, FM1, FM2, XM1, XM2 can have different memories between Driver 1 and Driver 2, just as the seat, mirror and steering wheel adjustments.
