05 RL. The door locks are set to lock when car is being driven. However, they will relock themselves multiple time throughout the trip. for example you are driving along and you hear a thunk from all the doors. Same sound as when you hit the door-lock "lock" button when all the doors are already locked.

Just started after a trip to the dealer to work on the Navi system.

Any thoughs or ideas appreciated...

 

This was a problem that surfaced after the very first 05 RL recall/software upgrade. There should be a TSB on this. As I recall, it required replacing the door handles under warranty. Your dealer should be able to easily research and rectify this problem.

If memory serves, there was also an associated issue with the sideview mirrors not returning to their "upright" position after the car was put in reverse and then returned to drive.

 

It is happening to me. Doors relocking, tilt mirror does not return.

What is the fix?

 

Dealer is aware of this problem. Just bring it in and it will be fixed under warranty.
