does 05 acura rl come with auto start?
As in remote start? -No it does not. But it does have a neat trick that allows you to turn the keyless ignition to ON and it will crank the engine on its own, without you having to hold the ignition till it the engine starts.
oh ic..but how do u that? cuse i try to put the kyeless in the thing that u start up the car but i still dont get it..wat u mean the car turn on it self?..like when u get in the car then it jz turn on it self...can you show me some direction?
He means when you get into the car turn the knob like your going to start the car up but instead of holding it like any other car let it go and the car will do the rest on its own. Simple and easy.
Call Acura in Torrance and ask them.

You don't have to put the FOB in anything. FOB can be in your pocket and you turn the ignition start on the column. What previous poster meant was that you only need to turn it to start position and you can let go before car totally starts as opposed to other cars where you have to hold in start position until car completely starts.

I was off on an assumption about a factory remote start solution, like they use in Canada, so you can start your car from inside the house, running the car for a few minutes to warm up the cabin before you get into the car. I know that this is available and retrofittable to all 2G MDX models.
I do not know if there is a solution for the RL, and that is why I suggested the OP call Acura Customer Care to find out if there is a solution for whatever model year RL he owns. I have read elsewhere, unconfirmed, a post that says the factory remote start is only available for the 2009 RL and not backwards compatible with the 2005-2008 RL, and thought Acura Customer Care might actually be able to confirm 1) if a factory solution exists, and 2) what model years can use it.
But looking back at the OP, I am not sure now what the OP was asking about, factory remote start, or how to just start the car as getakey is describing.

I live in Canada and I wouldn't even bother with a remote starter. They car heats up really fast and if you leave the RL to idle your gas consumption is horrible.
I turn mine on, let it sit for a minute or two then drive off. Within 5 min I get heat.
