Question Copying Memory Settings to Driver 2?

I am the sole driver of my RL. Although both remotes are recognized by the RL, only Driver 1 has all my radio & climate presets. I would like to know if there is a quick way to have the Driver 2 remote recognize all the same presets as Driver 1 without entering all the stations again?

I only use the Driver 2 remote for service calls, but having both in my pocket when I entered the car, it picked up Driver 2 and my ratio settings, Nav & climate controls were not recalled. If both remotes have the same setting, I would not have to think about which remote is recognized by the RL (should I have both with me in the car).

I expect there is a simple solution, I have yet to discover in the manual.

Thumbs down

I hate to be the one to break the bad news to you, but it seems there isn't any easy way to do what you want. There was a similar thread on this a couple of months ago and I called Acura to ask about it. The radio stations, seat positions, AC/heat settings are bad enough but even the address book in the Nav system is different. What was Acura thinking-- husbands and wives wouldn't go to the same places?! So, we have to enter everything in twice. This should be an easy firmware fix but I'm guessing we're not going to see it anytime soon.

Thanks Meteor...you affirm my fear!

I guess I wil leave Driver 2 'dumb' and stick with Driver 1. I just need to be sure the RL recognizes the Driver 1 remote when I am carrying both with me.

Umm...actually, there is an easy way.

Just get in the car, hit the Driver Memory 1 button, wait for all the settings to take effect, then hit "MEMORY" and then "2" and the settings will be stored. You'll have identical settings for both memory settings.

Sorry CGTSX2004, but it did not work. Perhaps it works that way on the TSX memory settings & fobs, but apparently not on the RL. I tried using both remotes...Driver 2 is still 'dumb'.

I'll just spend a rainy day programming Driver 2 settings.
