Just changed both bulbs.
They started to flicker randomly, changed them about three or four years ago, bought Osram Xenarc Cool Blue`s, they were nicely little bit bluish and powerfull but maybe that effects their life. Now installed Osrams again, model Night Breaker Unlimited Xenarc`s Ordered them from Germany, 99€/pair delivered, in local shop 129€ one!
I did the change like last time, no bumper removal.
Passenger side:
- Remove plastic trim, dont brake those plastic fasteners.
- Remove windshield washer fluid container filling neck, attached with one plastic fastener, also one is keeping one cable attached to the neck.
- Twist the cap of the headlight housing anti clockwise so it will come off
- Twist the ignitor anticlockwise so that it comes off the bulb
- With fingertips feel the metal wire fastener loops from above the bulb`s rear end, push them in and then sideways so that they come off and fold backwards down, now you can take the bulb away.
- Installation is reverse this

Driverside:
- Take off the battery`s plastic trim panel, loose the battery and move it as far as it goes, i took it away completely (Make SURE that you have the radio code before disconnect the battery) also one reason to remove the battery was that i took out the air cleaner box and replaced it with "tuning" filter.
- Exactly same things to change the bulb on this side

Some have, but 95% of the time, it's the bulb.

I guess you can say that I'm bumping this thread out of frustration. It is a royal PITA trying to change the low beam bulbs in this car. While trying to remove the old bulb on the driver side, the friggin' bulb dropped into the headlight housing. I ordered Osram Xenarc CBI bulbs a few months ago to replace the the Morimoto 5000K's and finally got around to it this past weekend because I dreaded doing the replacement. I liked the Morimotos because of the slight blueish look to them but I feel they were not illuminating the road enough for me. Supposedly the lumens on Osram CBI's are higher which should help light up the road more and I hope they do because they were not cheap. I'll deal with getting the bulb out from the housing later and I'll be sure to drop the bumper to do that and any future bulb changes.

People are so afraid of popping the bumper off but it really is not that hard and it makes the bulb change SIGNIFICANTLY easier

I've gotten sadly quick at dropping the bumper, it's honestly not that bad at all and makes life so much easier.

Bump
