bluetooth phones
#41
I am using the RAZR V3 on a cingular network. The phone works very well with the RL. I have picked up the phone, free after rebate and with free Motorola HS810 Bluetooth Headset for RAZR. The only thing was contract for two years. But my contract was up any ways, and cingular local store wanted to much for the RAZR V3. Here I got it for free.
It was from http://www.wirefly.com/

I have the RAZR. I had been with sprint for 10 years and was reluctent to change but I really had no choice I didn't like and of the bluetooth phones from sprint so I went with cingular. I am very happy and my bill is less.

MID Bluetooth Functions
Does anyone know the complete extent of the Multi-Information Display (MID) intigration with a bluetooth phone? I have the MOTO RAZR and it provides signal strength through the MID, but not battery strength. Also, it seems that some people have mentioned that some phones might communicate the caller ID for an incoming call to the MID. Does anyone have a phone that does this? Is this phone dependant? Is there anyway to see a phones address book through the MID, or to upload the address book from a phone to the Nav system address book without just hand entering the information?
Any information that anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated.

Motorola 551 Cingular (from ATT)
Ours work well and is on the Acura "approved" list. The Razor (sic) just arrived. We'll know more later.
Both phones were given up as "deals" during a transfer from ATT.
The coupled phones (Bluetooth) work at their best when locating hotels during a trip. All hotel deals can be put together based on "FIND nearest hotels" function with the navigation device. No more advanced res with credit-card lock-ins.
Some events occur when the #2 driver gets in first, but that's treatable with a little pre-planning among drivers.
Comments welcome.
