Question Blackberry 8700 Bluetooth

I am able to pair my Blackberry. However, it looses the link and reconnects and looses with great rapidity. For an incoming call it will pair and hold. Any thoughts?

You may want to check the version of Bluetooth in the Blackberry. It should be version 3 or higher to avoid the problem you have described.

I too have problems with my 8700c. I thought it was due to our nazi BES admin locking down our BB's, but after obtaining a loaner 7100, everything worked perfectly.

I cant seem to place any calls from the handsfree. I have to dial it manually on my phone, wait until it starts ringing (or until they pick up) and say 'transfer'.

How do you check what version of BT youre running? I thought it was either 1.2 or v2, and I believe my 8700c has v2.

From typing in myver on my BB, I get the following:
8700/4.1.0.194

If anyone can help, I'd greatly appreciate it!

I too had the problem of it continually disconnecting. I had to get a new unit from Cingular and now it works fine. The "transfer" method is the only way to dial from your BB. I wish Acura would make a SW change so we could access the address book in the BB.

I have had no problems with my 8700c. The only thing that is strange is when I try to connect via Acuralink. When sending the string during setup (wap.cingular) the bluetooth disconnects. Very strange.

I too believe they need to add the functions to upload the phonebook. I thought Acura is tech-friendly. BMW does it......
