I purchased the shock sensor alarm from the dealer when i puchased my rl thinking that it will be a good investment knowing that i will be known if my car gets hit or if someone break my window. i just had it installed over the weekend and realized there a few problems with the alarm. the sales rep told me that the shock sensor works conjunction with the car factory alarm but i realized after it being installed that some of the features doesnt work anymore. like opening the passenger door with the door handle, that would not shut off the alarm so once i close the door it will sense the vibration and the alarm will go off. so the passenger door handle unluck and trunk unlock feature will be useless if i dont turn off the alarm on the key fob first. has anyone got an aftermarket alarm and have a solution for this?

I know this isn't exactly related; however, in the 3G TL forum people had problems with shock sensors - if I am not mistaken they had to attach the shock sensor to a different alarm wire in order to have it working properly. I know this car is going to be slightly different because of the keyless entry - but perhaps that is something to consider.
