accessory power outlet

Neither of the accessory power outlets in my '06 RL seem to be working. Can't remember if I've ever even used it since I first bought the car. Any ideas? Thanks.

That is ridiculous. I don't think that this is it, but there was a ServiceNews that spoke about replacing the original socket with a different part number, if you kept blowing it out.

Phew, the fuse is just blown. Didn't want to be in the same situation as T-jay No. 9 was right Is it just one fuse for both outlets?

They replaced my outlets and it still doen't work. They tried to blame it on my usa spec ipod hookup. Until i threatened to sue. Now they want me to leave the car with them so they can check the wiring out.

It is just a source of 12volts. Check if there is voltage there and if it goes to the destination. If there is 12v on the socket then you need to make good contact to the destination by have a good socket and a good plug. If there is no 12v then trace back to fuse etc.. I cannot believe that the dealer is dumb enough to change the sockets without checking to see if there was voltage going to the socket. And, then give you the car back without checking to see if it works.
