2006 RL - keyless entry problwm - no electrical function - battery ok

I can start my RL with the built in key, but not through the keyless system. I cannot lock, unlock or start car.

Any ideas?

read up on the door handle issues, its likely either a fuse or a dead handle

Check fuse 7 and fuse 10.

It was #7 - replaced it and it did not short out again. After reading up on the door handle issue, I was worried.
