Does anyone know where I could try to buy a new lens or camera for our 2009 Acura RL w/ Tech Package? I believe the dealership wants $950 - $1250 to replace the 1" camera.

New member... I tried to search the forum before fore I posted this question, but everything I saw was for earlier RL models.

Our rear backup camera lens was smashed by a rouge shopping cart. I'm not sure if just the lens could be replaced, and I assume I need to buy a whole new camera.

I do not know if its the same camera on 05-08 and the MMCs. They fit Hondas, but I got no clue if they fit our 09.

Buying other than OEM is good. the camera sucks. Other HD models are better.

If you want oem, I suggest you find a junkyard. they'd sell it 50 bucks max.

I suppose if you were satisfied with the quality then u go for it.

If mine broke, I'd be thankful for the opportunity to change it. for less than 270 u can get something nicer , HD, with lines on screen, etc.

 

Sounds like a nice upgrade. I wold like lines and better wider picture. Where can I find that?
