05 RL Sunroof Key Fob operation
05 RL Sunroof Key Fob operation
My "new to me" 05 RL Key Fob will roll down all windows but will not automatically slide my sunroof back when holding down the "unlock" button on the key fob. Any suggestions for a non-dealer fix. In addition, my sunroof is not allowing the "one touch" auto open or close feature....I have to hold down the switch the whole time opening or closing. Neither issue is a big deal effecting the overall excitement of owning the RL, but thought their might be a default settings that controls both procedures...
BTW...has anyone ever experienced battery loss or power concerns due the "green" door indicator LED light staying on which indicates that the interior light switch is set to the "door" mode. I noticed in my dark garage a tiny green tint in the interior. I travel alot and don't want to come back from a trip to find a dead battery...Is this normal for the light to stay on after all other lights go off?
I've never owned a car that is smarter than me but the RL seems to qualify for acedemic schlorships. Thanks to all who can offer advice or hints for a smoother operation.

According to the Service Manual, In order to reset the Moonroof Control Unit do these steps:
1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Press and hold the tilt switch and turn the ignition switch ON (II).
3. Release the tilt switch and turn the ignition switch OFF.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 four times.
5. Press and hold the moonroof open switch until 3 seconds after the moonroof is fully opened.
6. Press and hold the moonroof close switch until 3 seconds after the moonroof is fully closed (tilted).
7. Confirm that the moonroof is reset by using the moonroof AUTO OPEN and AUTO CLOSE function.
The little green light is a non issue. Small LED uses very little power.
