05 RL Rearview Camera??
Can a OEM Acura rearview camera be hooked up to an 05 RL?

I asked the dealer when i got mine. oem wont work but you can do an aftermarket one. Oem only prewired 06 and up.

True. The OEM Acura camera will not work with the 05 RL. There was a lengthy thread a few years ago where a member here, Qatar, went through quite the ordeal trying to have the OEM camera installed. Ultimately is was decided that the 05 RL lacked a harness or something and it couldn't be retrofitted.

An aftermarket camera hooked up to a TvAndNav2Go unit will work in the 05 RL.

The navtool can also be used and it is currently available on a group buy for $175=$15 s&h

Just got "smart" on my last question. Ha. Where is the group buy section. I clearly need the navtool and will find a dvd player or backup camera to add to the navtool.

There are a few different compact backup cameras on ebay. They work very well and fit nicely. I will post pics shortly.

Thanks GS, I took a look at the Sponors Forum. Nothing but links to Prestige Acura there. I'll look on ebay for everything and see what's there. Looking forward to seeing pictures of your setup.
