They are probably in the snow mode, or whatever it's called. Gently push down on both wipers simultaneously, they should click right back down behind the black trim.

it takes more effort than you think it should to move them out of the "winter" position. I usually grip right in the "middle" of the driver's side wiper arm, lift it just slightly off the glass, and then push down (or pull up if you are putting them "up" into winter position) parallel to the windshield surface till they move into place. The mechanism is linked so moving either wiper arm moves them both.

Putting them in winter mode is the only way to change the inserts, or at least easily change them. Also makes it easy to clean the bottom of the window....I know, a bit over the top.

Thanks

I've had mine for 2 months now. When washing it last night, I pulled the wipers up for cleaning. Now they're stuck up like 4"s above the home position. I'll have to try your suggestions and hope I don't break anything. I'm loving the car and am a huge LS fan with a C6 Vette and a 2002 WS6 Trans Am.

push them close to the base where the arm is thick as to not bend them... they will go, but it will take a little pressure.

Wipers stop 2" from where they should be

I went through a car wash and one of the city finger things caught my wipers, after driving out I turned them on but now they only go down to a certain point. Other than that they work fine, wth?

They are in the "winter mode". The wipers are designed to be pulled up when it is snowing so snow doesn't prevent them from making a full sweep. Just push down and they will click back into the normal position. If you read the manual it will better describe what I am saying.

You need to push firmly. I usually push on the middle of the drivers wiper. Push on the arm not the blade. It does take some effort. Once you figure it out it will make sense.

This is a great feature if you live in an area that gets snow. I use it every snow storm.

Hey it worked! My husband and I pushed at the same time. I work on aircraft for a living, just seemed like I'd break them if I pushed to hard! Thank you!!!!

I put them up in winter mode when I wash the car in my driveway, so I can flip up the wiper arms and properly clean the glass. Yeah, first time pushing on the wiper arms caused a little apprehension because of the fear of breaking it.

Wiper stowage position?

I read somewhere here there are 2 different positions but, can't find the post or anything in the owners manual.
Would someone be kind enough to link or explain this to me?
