Winter Wiper Options?

Does anyone make winter wipers for the 2005 RL? Or am I stuck with the factory ones freezing up?

The RL's wipers are (almost) unique-- they don't use the industry-standard snap fitting (they're held in place by two screws each). I don't know of any aftermarket wipers-- at least the local auto shops like Kragen don't have any.

to the OP, you can pull the wiper arms up from under the cowl so they are positioned above the defrost vents, that will help alot with the ice build up.

I have never messed with the winter locations since the car sits in the garage -- but I am going to need to move it out onto the street more often this year. The last snow storm was horrible. I'm reading the instruction manual for my '05-- is it that simple to just lift and pull it up to move to the "winter" position? Hate to yank it and cost me a few pretty dollars to repair.

Second-- about the refills-- have you guys all been using the Acura refills or have anyone gone to replace the entire blade (including the plastic refills? easier?)

Yep, you can easily pull them up, but you'll need to grab both arms and do them together to pull the entire assembly up. Not a lot of force needed, and very easy to do.
