they seem to flicker on a consistent basis.... anyone else have any problems with their headlights?? i keep them on all the time, would that affect it? i keep them on cause i hate the daytime running lights.

 

Try starting the RL with the headlights OFF. I used to start my CL with the lights on and a few times one of the lights would go out. The reason behind this is because the xenon ballasts try to keep a constant stream of power once the lights are ignited. If for any reason that constant stream is disrupted, the lights can go out (like in my case), flicker (in your case) or damage the ballast and/or xenon bulb. Xenon lights do not have the ability to dim as conventional halogen bulbs do.

 

thanks... i had a CL also, always left the lights on. i miss that car....

 

Contact your dealer as soon as possible. I had that issue earlier this year. My lights started flickering over the period of 3 weeks, then it totally went out. the dealer couldn't figure out waht it was in the begining, but eventually they figured it out. I don't remember what it was. Try to search the topic, because i had posted the isse then.

i am still seeing my headlights go complete out only driver side now. before both went out and sent a code to the RL. now they flicker real bad then i cut them off and on and hope they do not cut out. the dealer has tried to fix them 4times. they replaced the igniters. i have an appt for nov 13 for same problem. NO other problems with my 05 RL I LOVE IT!!! dealer is acura of avon. if you need reference. hope this helps you.
