Question What to check, look out for

Hi all, had a CLS then wrote it off, went to an Accord for insurance and now looking at an '07/'08 RL. I'm' going to be rummaging through the forums, what kinds of things should I be looking at. Were there any major service recalls? Any info is greatly appreciated.

Due to the release of a lot of hurricane sandy cars, watch out for turtles under the seats. Seriously tho search the forum there is the same thread posted twice a month

'07-'08 is pretty solid. I believe the first half of '07 had the brake recall, but mine did not. Biggest issues that come to mind are bubbles in the arm rest and the door lock actuator whining. Pretty solid.

Oh, make sure there isn't a hole in the differential.

Thanks for your input. Is the differential an issue? Ive loved the 07/8 RL from day one and its time to make it happen. One I'm looking at now is at a honda dealership so thats a plus.

Diff issue is some places dont fill both chambers since they are too lazy to look it up or just forget. Metal parts no lubrication No Bueno.

The differential quip was an inside joke. A member here somehow managed to get a hole in the side of his diff. It drained all the fluid and sounds like a fire engine. The differential is a solid piece of equipment if it has fluid.

The only reason I even brought it up is b/c the RL after '07 is a tank and I don't have stuff to tell you to look for.
